CODE OF CONDUCT 

 We are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, or religion. This code of conduct outlines our expectations of folks attending the conference, as well as the consequences for any unacceptable behaviour. Together we can create a safe and positive conference experience for everyone.
 

EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR

  • Be considerate, respectful, and collaborative.
  • Do not use demeaning or discriminatory language or engage in any demeaning or discriminatory behaviour. 
  • Respect personal boundaries. 
  • Alert conference organisers or a member of LMA staff if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.

 

UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR

  • Unacceptable behaviour includes intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning conduct. 
  • Harassment includes offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability; deliberate intimidation, stalking or following; harassing materials, photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

 

CONSEQUENCES OF UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR

Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated. If a participant engages in unacceptable behaviour, the conference organisers may ask you to leave the conference. 

 

WHAT TO DO IF YOU WITNESS OR ARE SUBJECTED TO UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR

If you are subjected to or witness unacceptable behaviour, or if you have any other concerns, please notify a conference organiser or member of LMA staff as soon as possible.

 

SCOPE

We expect all conference participants to abide by this code of conduct throughout the duration of the conference.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY

Video recordings and photographs are being taken at this event. If you do not want your image to be captured, please mention this during registration.
